As the name suggests, Hariyali Biryani is marinated in the combination of green ingredients like leaves, mint leaves and green chillies. This green masala is cooked with a burnt coal for some additional flavour and topped with fragrant long grain basmati rice. A spoonful of ghee and charcoal ups the flavour game of this biryani. How To Make Hariyali Chicken Biryani | Hariyali Chicken :

To prepare this recipe, start with the green paste, which is made by grinding all the green ingredients (coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies) together. Meanwhile, marinate the chicken pieces with salt, biryani masala, chilli powder and fried onions. Then add half of the blended green masala and leave it for at least 2 hours.

Now, heat ghee in a pan, add the chicken pieces and cook until brown. Once brown, add the rest of the green ground masala, cover and cook for 10-12 mins.
